BOOK REVIEW | March 17, 2012

Do you remember your first lesson? Nerves, anxiety and the unknown all play a part. This is what this story is all about. This is a great story for story time as it is easy to read and the message is clear do not give up! You do not have be a tennis fan to read this story as it applies to life in general. It is written by a tennis coach so it definitely brings authenticity to the story. It does teach you the basics of the sport but more than anything it is about being positive. The author says; Beefy’s first lesson is about dreams and making them reality. I hope every child who reads this book lives their dreams.

The best part of this story is that it was written by a South Florida celebrity. This is his first book but Juandell Brunner the author is well known in Miami and around the world for his inspiration not only as a former tennis player but nowadays as a tennis coach inspiring youth and finding them tennis scholarships around the US and the world. He graduated from St. Thomas University in Miami and as always it is great to see a graduate succeed.
